Wishing you all A Happy New Year

Choir practices start this week on Thursday 10th January at 7.15 for a prompt start at 7.30.

In future, in the interest of safety, there will be a signing-in sheet so please remember to tick your name on arrival.

Please will you return all your music in alphabetical order (apart from ‘Chatanooga Choo’, ‘Dancing Queen’ and The Swallow’) and separate the Albert Hall pieces from the Christmas selection. Thank you.

Now that the festivities are over, we are looking forward to singing a new repertoire. A variety of pieces have been selected and the choir will be singing them during the next few weeks to see which ones suit us best.

During the break Cilla has decided to leave and thinks she will return to choral singing instead but we will be welcoming Sue Reekie and Ruth Capell so our choir numbers remain stable.

Jan will be running the Sales table on Thursday so please have a look to see if you have anything that you think someone else might like to buy.

The sing-out at the Malthouse was a success and raised £100 for the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance so well done to those who were able to attend.

Pauline has asked that we bring the stamps that we have collected in aid of the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance. All kinds are accepted - it doesn’t matter how old, their value or country of origin. There will be a collecting box available for next few weeks.

If you remember, before Christmas Kit was asking for empty plastic disposable containers for Open Door. These are still needed so please save them next time you have a takeaway. I think that she also said that margarine tubs could be used as well.

Marianne is also still collecting plastic milk bottle tops.

Tea and coffee and, doubtless, lots of chat will resume at Rumwell Farm Café on Wednesday 23rd January at 2.30pm. We hope you can make it.

Happy Singing!
